Caritas Portsmouth supports parishes and schools to become the ‘church beyond walls’ to help met the needs in our local communities.
Our volunteer team helps make this happen, by running and supporting specific projects, promoting our work within the parish/community and fundraising so we can get new projects off the ground. We’re looking to recruit more volunteers to join us.
We have three key roles to consider
Caritas Parish Representatives: to be our link in your parish and keeping everyone up to date with our work, events and campaigns
Caritas School Volunteers: to support our Project Officers with the school activities. We have some exciting initiatives to introduce and would be grateful for your help to reach our young people
Caritas Events Volunteers: we plan to run a rolling programme of events to learn about specific topics and explore solutions. We need both administrative and practical support to ensure the events run smoothly and safely
