Easter Sunday

Next Sunday, 17th April, is Easter Sunday, when we celebrate the joys of the Resurrection of Our Lord and Saviour following his Passion, suffering and death on the Cross on Good Friday for the salvation of the world. In the Gospel we hear of St Mary Magdalene’s joy – although it must have not felt like a joy at the time – of being the first witness to the Resurrection. If we have used Lent to properly prepare ourselves for Easter, we shall truly experience the joys of the Resurrection and rejoice and be glad with Our Lady, St Mary Magdalene and the Apostles for the Lord is risen indeed!
