Called and Gifted

Called and Gifted Team Leader, Gerry Penfold invites you to consider experiencing the Called and Gifted process for yourself…

Now that we have journeyed from the preparation of Lent to the action of the Easter season, do you know what spiritual gifts you’ve been given to help you live out your faith every day? If not, you’re missing out on a source of spiritual strength that helps you be the person God intended you to be! The Called and Gifted discernment process is designed to help you learn what the spiritual gifts are and prayerfully discern which gifts the Holy Spirit has given you for the glory of God and the benefit of others.

Over 2000 people in Portsmouth Diocese and beyond have experienced the Called and Gifted discernment process and, for many, it has led to a more active and fulfilling life. Please visit the Called and Gifted website to see examples of testimonies from previous participants, including a wonderful video testimony from a priest who has experienced Called and Gifted himself and seen the difference it has made in his parish: https://www.calledandgifted.org.uk/.

During the pandemic, the Called and Gifted team moved from face to face meetings to online meetings, using the wonderful videos from the Catherine of Siena Institute. This has been such a blessing as it has enabled individuals from across the UK to benefit from the discernment process, accessing the videos personally and learning at their own pace. We are now very pleased to announce that the videos are available to be streamed over four sessions to enable parish groups to learn and progress together through the learning stage to the personal discernment stage and then to discernment in small groups.

For more information on the online process for group learning and discernment, please contact the team leader, Gerry Penfold (gpenfold@portsmouthdiocese.org.uk). For information on how to book as an individual, please see https://www.calledandgifted.org.uk/how-to-book/
