The Bishop’s Council
The Bishop’s Council are the senior clergy (the Vicars General and Episcopal Vicars) appointed by the Bishop to oversee certain aspects of the life and work of the Diocese. They meet regularly to advise the Bishop.
Trustees
The Diocese of Portsmouth is a Registered Charity with the Charity Commission of England and Wales. As such, we are required by law to have a group of Trustees who support the Bishop by overseeing the charitable work of the diocese. Alongside the members of the Bishop’s Council, the trustees are chosen for their expertise in various fields and their dedication to the Catholic Mission of the Diocese.
Senior Staff
The Senior Staff of the Diocesan Curia are lay men and women who, supervised by the Moderator of the Curia, manage the ‘Department for Administration’ which carries out the vital administrative work of the Diocese.
