This Saturday, 14 February, the Most Rev Richard Moth will be solemnly installed as the 12th Archbishop of Westminster at Westminster Cathedral.

Ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Southwark on 3 July 1982, Archbishop-elect Moth has served as Bishop of Arundel and Brighton since 2015. Before that, he was the Catholic Bishop of the Forces from 2009 to 2015.

Archbishop-elect Moth succeeds Cardinal Vincent Nichols, who has served as Archbishop of Westminster since 2009. Cardinal Nichols will now take up the role of Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Westminster.

On Friday 13 February 2026, at 5.30pm, Solemn Pontifical Vespers will be celebrated for Archbishop-elect Moth on the eve of his Installation at Westminster Cathedral. This service will be livestreamed via the link here.

The following day, Saturday 14 February at 12 noon, the feast of Saints Cyril and Methodius, Archbishop-elect Moth will be installed as the 12th Archbishop of Westminster. This ceremony will also be livestreamed using the same above link.
