The Clergy Retirement Fund ensures that all priests who have faithfully served Christ and His Church are cared for in retirement.
Many priests do not earn enough during their lifetime to build adequate pensions. It is therefore essential that they receive proper support in retirement after a life of service.
Currently, 37 priests are retired, and 24 more are expected to retire over the next decade. It is crucial that they receive the support they need—whether that’s suitable accommodation, adequate healthcare and overall wellbeing, residential care when required, humble living expenses or pastoral support.
