St Bernard’s church in Waterside Parish has celebrated the 50th anniversary of its current building.  Despite the heat, an afternoon tea party was held to mark the occasion, enjoyed by a large number of parishioners.

The musical entertainment was excellent; The Melody Makers got into a great stride and the Barber Shop Quartet knew their stuff!  The parish has never seen so many scones and cakes before and copious amounts of tea and coffee were drunk.  Thank you, Waterside Parish, for a fine celebration.

The anniversary was a wonderful parish event which has helped the parish to rebuild its community activities following two long years of disruption caused by Covid-19.
