Bishop Philip writes…
The Vatican’s Christmas Tree and Nativity Scene were lit up and officially inaugurated in St. Peter’s Square last Monday, 15th December, by Sister Raffaella Petrini, President of the Governatorate of the Vatican City State. “Today, in this square that embraces the world, the Nativity scene and the Christmas tree are not merely Christmas decorations, but signs of communion, calls to peace and to the care of creation, and invitations to universal fraternity.”
As this is the last e-News before Christmas, for Tuesday 23rd December 2025. I take the opportunity here to wish you, your families and friends a truly blessed Christmas. I give thanks to all those who contribute regularly or occasionally to e-News and to Deacon Craig for his editorial work. Our next edition will be in two weeks’ time after the Christmas break. Happy Christmas! I wish you, when it comes, a grace-filled New Year, 2026.
With all good wishes and an assurance of my prayers,
In Corde Iesu
+Philip
