Our Lady of Montligeon
Please join me tonight, Tuesday 22nd October at 7 pm in Sacred Heart Bordon for the launch of the devotion to Our Lady of the Holy Souls (Our Lady of Montligeon). Mass is at 7 pm. Fr. Paul Denizot, Rector of the Shrine of Our Lady of Montligeon was due to be with us but, sadly he is ill and won’t be able to be present this evening. In his place, he is sending one of the English speaking chaplains of the shrine. Fr. François-Marie Ande. The Shrine of Our Lady of Montligeon in Normandy comprises an impressive 130-year old basilica and is now a world centre of prayer for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. It is a place of healing for the millions who go there on pilgrimage. After the Mass Fr. François-Marie will give a short talk about Montligeon and speak about the importance of prayer for the faithful departed. Prayer for the Holy Souls is a really important dimension of our Christian life. It is also a huge help to coping with the sadness of losing a loved one and the process of bereavement. I am very grateful to Deacon Kim Cabatana for taking this project forward on our behalf. For more about the Shrine, click here. [Image: NCR/Sanctuaire Notre-Dame de Montligeon]
