Salary: £15,596 per annum pro rata (£26,000 FTE)

Contract: Permanent, working 22.5 hours per week – working pattern and hours to be agreed at interview.

Location: St. Edmund House, Bishop Crispian Way, Portsmouth, PO1 3QA.

Some occasional travel may be required across the Diocese; you will need a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.

 

Are you an experienced Administrator with an understanding of safeguarding? We are seeking an extremely self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and operational support capabilities, proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat and using electronic systems.

You will have strong interpersonal skills, remain calm under pressure, and be able to work as part of a team, or independently. Using your excellent communication skills, and enthusiasm to ensure delivery of exemplary service each day are a must, together with a flexible approach. You will be supporting the Head of Safeguarding and operational safeguarding team.

Safeguarding Administrator (Operational Support) – Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for meetings, training events, and internal forums.
  • Maintain and update electronic case records and filing systems.
  • Prepare chronologies, timelines, and minutes from meetings.
  • Manage departmental logs, action trackers, and diary schedules.
  • Assist with data requests, including statutory authority and subject access requests.
  • Support the digitisation of paper records for electronic conversion.
