This new leaflet aims to ensure that families feel welcome at Mass.  Printed copies were distributed for parishes at the Catechist’s Day in Winchester on 8th October.  They were written by the Formation for Mission Team of Catechists. It was produced because often families feel that the Mass is difficult because their children cry, or crawl and parents struggle to engage their children in Mass.  This leaflet provides ideas to help.

The Team also recommends use in your Catholic primary school.  They can make a good focus to ensure that parents feel welcome to bring their family to Mass. It includes catechetical aspects relevant to adults too; for example, the use of holy water when entering the church and that we are all ‘children of God’. If your parish did not have a catechist at the day, please contact Fr Mark at Winchester to arrange to receive some.
