By virtue of baptism, all Catholics are called to live out our priestly office by our daily sacrifices, prayers and spreading the Gospel. The call to the Sacred Priesthood is a supernatural call by which God invites men to a life of sacrifice and prayer; a life of service to Him and His Church.
The Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth is blessed to have 10 men in formation for the priesthood. Seminarian formation takes between six to eight years at a cost of approximately £30,000 per year. We rely on the prayers and generosity of people like you to support the formation for our future priests.
