Bishop Philip writes…
Let us keep our Holy Father Pope Leo in our prayers. He was discharged from the Gemelli Hospital on Saturday after cancer surgery on his right lung and is currently recovering back at the Vatican. On Sunday, he was able to lead the Angelus from the window of the papal apartment. Let us pray for his complete recovery and that the Lord will enable him to resume his former duties.
Meanwhile, welcome to this e-News issue 552 (2026/36) for Tuesday 20th October 2026. The papal theme continues below with a new film on St. Peter’s Tomb, plus a Catechism on Peace written by Archbishop Andrew from Bamenda, inspired by the recent visit of Pope Leo to Cameroon. Thank you for all your support. Over these next days, may the Lord bless you, your family and friends, with His love.
With all good wishes and an assurance of my prayers,
In Corde Iesu
+Philip
Bishop of Portsmouth
