Sharing the Joy of the Gospel

The Catholic faith is so rich! We want to help you to understand your own faith deeply so that together we can grow in our relationship with Jesus and can bring Him to others. Our Formation for Mission team is made up entirely of volunteers who are passionate about catechesis and teaching others about our beautiful faith.

Meet the Team

Dominican Sisters of St Joseph

Established 1994

The congregation of the Dominican Sisters of St Joseph contributes to the mission of the Order of Preachers by preaching and teaching the Catholic Faith, in communion with and under the supervision of the hierarchy of the Catholic Church.

The sisters’ apostolate of explicit proclamation of the Gospel flows from a common life of prayer, study and monastic observances, centred on the liturgical celebration of the mystery of Jesus Christ.

Sr Hyacinthe is originally from France. She joined the Dominican Sisters in 2000. She is passionate about catechesis and the transmission of the faith, and has an MA in religious education and catechesis, an ecclesiastical Licence in catechetics, and is currently working on a doctoral research on the transmission of hope from a Thomistic perspective. Before joining the sisters, as a 19 year old student, she was recruited as a First Holy Communion catechist by a French Dominican Sister for a class of 20 children, with no idea what to do, and she is still learning!
