Parish Communications & Events Coordinator
The Catholic Parish of St Swithun Wells requires a part-time Communications and Events coordinator. This is a new fixed term position to be reviewed after 18 months.
The position will be based in Eastleigh and will involve managing the parish website, setting up and managing new social media platforms for the parish, communications with parish groups, hiring venues/booking parish activities, planning organising parish events, producing parish events literature, liaising with clergy, diocese, parish employees, volunteers and external groups and working in accordance with diocesan policies including Health and Safety, GDPR, Safeguarding and compliance with copyright law.
We require an enthusiastic and self-motivated person sympathetic to the ministry and mission of the Catholic Church. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in communications, event planning, and social media management, along with strong technical skills in website management and creative content creation.
Good communication skills are a must, and a flexible and positive attitude is required. You must have the right to work in the UK.
The role is part-time (15 hours per week – days and times to be discussed at interview) with a salary of £9,377.12 per annum. For more details please see below.
