Alton Day of Renewal – Live!
Alastair Emblem, ADoRE’s Core Group Leader invites you to join them for a live meeting on Saturday 28th May, following many months meeting on Zoom…
The Alton Day of Renewal (ADoRE) spiritual mini-retreat is returning on Saturday 28th May with a one-off live session at St Bede’s Basingstoke. ADoRE has been continuing on zoom but this will be the first live all-day session since February 2020 and we hope to see many of our regular attendees as well as anyone else from the area who may appreciate some spiritual refreshment. We start at 9.30 with Mass followed by coffee and chat, a talk on how we are “Called to be a People of Praise”, and an extended time of praise from a young worship group “Stay Awake”. This morning session will also be livestreamed for those who can’t get to Basingstoke. After a shared picnic lunch, there will be Adoration, Prophetic Sharing, Rosary and Prayer Ministry.
ADoRE is part of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, referred to by Pope Francis as “a stream of grace for the whole church.” This is one of the longest continually running days of renewal in the country, and it started in Basingstoke in 1974. This is what somebody recently wrote about us: “Wow! what a powerful day you all presented. Every aspect starting with Holy Mass was just wonderful. Praise and worship was amazing, testimony beautiful and of course the talk so touching and spiritual. Praise God for all of you.”
