Planning for the Future
An invitation to join me for a meeting either in Eastleigh or in Basingstoke
As you know, we are currently developing a ten-year mission Strategy for the Diocese. Following on from the Clergy Gathering last November we undertook to hold a number of sessions with laity to test out the emerging priorities that had come from the Pastoral Area Reviews and A Thousand Voices and to engage people directly in the development of our plans. We have already held fruitful meetings on the Isle of Wight, Guernsey, Jersey and with the Diocesan Pastoral Council. We are now proposing to hold two further evening sessions for parishes to send representatives so that as many areas as possible are aware of the work so far. Please let your parish priest know if you would like to be one of the two persons from your parish who would be willing to attend either at Holy Cross Church Eastleigh on Thursday 28th April from 6pm til 9pm or St Bede’s Basingstoke on Thursday 12th May from 6 pm til 9 pm to hear the plans directly from me and from Heather Hauschild, our Chief Operating Officer. Ideally, you would be a member of the parish Evangelisation Strategy Team or other parish leader. Some parishes might like to hold a session themselves.
