Today is the Memorial of St. John Vianney, the “Curé D’Ars,” and Patron Saint of Priests and parish clergy. Please pray for your parish priest and for all priests today. It is also the anniversary of that day in 1984 in St. Vincent’s Altrincham on which I was ordained to the priesthood – 42 years ago! So for me this feast is always a special day – please say a prayer for me too. St. John Vianney’s life is ever an inspiration.
Meanwhile, welcome to this e-News issue 543 (2026/27) for Tuesday 4th August 2026. Here in Portsmouth we have had a month of warmth and sunshine. I hope you have at least enjoyed the blue skies, if not the heat! Please pray for us all and our Diocese. May the Lord bless you with His love and give you His peace.
